Safety Warning

IMPORTANT!

It's crucial to power off the printer before conducting any maintenance work, including work on the printer's electronics and tool head wires. Performing tasks with the printer on can result in a short circuit, leading to electronic damage and safety hazards.

During maintenance or troubleshooting, you may need to disassemble parts, including the hotend. This exposes wires and electrical components that could short circuit if they contact each other, other metal, or electronic components while the printer is still on. This can result in damage to the printer's electronics and additional issues.

Therefore, it's crucial to turn off the printer and disconnect it from the power source before conducting any maintenance. This prevents short circuits or damage to the printer's electronics, ensuring safe and effective maintenance. По любым вопросам или сомнениям, связанным с этим руководством, мы рекомендуем отправить запрос в техподдержку.

Remove the USB-C cable

Step 1: Remove the TH board

Since the USB-C cable is connected to the rear of the TH board, you need to first loosen the TH board before disconnecting the USB-C cable. Refer to the following Wiki to remove the TH board up to the step where the USB-C cable is disconnected:

Replace H2D Extruder Connection Board/TH Board/FPC Cable

Step 2: Remove the AP board cover

Use an H2.0 Allen key to remove one fixing screw (BT2.6x8). Remove the AP board cover from the side closest to the front door.

Step 3: Remove the filament buffer

Press the pneumatic connector on the tube bracket and remove the two PTFE tubes connected to the back of the printer. Use an H2.0 Allen key to remove 4 fixing screws (BT3x8). Loosen the buffer to reveal the USB-C cable underneath it.

Step 4: Remove the USB-C Cable

Disconnect the USB-C cable from the AP board, then remove the cable from the cable clips on the top cover.

Remove the cable clip on the cable chain, then detach the cable chain from the top cover. Take out the USB-C cable from the cable chain.

Note: If the USB-C cable is pressed under other cables on the TH board, you can remove both cables together from the cable chain.

Install the USB-C cable

Step 1: Connect to the AP board

Connect the new USB-C cable to the AP board, then secure the cable into the clips.

Note: The "A" end connects to the AP board with the "A" facing outward!

Step 2: Install the USB-C cable and cable chain

  1. Install the USB-C cable and MC-TH cable into the cable chain, and install the cables halfway into the cable chain so that both cable chain buckles can be installed on the cable chain, and at the same time, a certain amount of space can be left for easy connection with the TH board. Then install the tail of the cable chain into the upper cover;

image

image

  • Connect the USB-C cable to the TH board.

Note: The "T" must face outward!

image

  • Rotate the cable chain base to align the notch with the notch on the toolhead middle housing, then secure the MC-TH cable and USB-C cable into the cable chain base and toolhead middle housing.

image

image

  • Insert the remaining toolhead to MC board cable and USB-C cable into the cable chain. Reconnect the cable chain to the cable chain base and secure the clips back onto the cable chain (install them at the 8th and 18th chain links—counting from the toolhead).

Step 3: Install the TH Board

Refer to the following Wiki to reinstall the TH board onto the toolhead:

Replace H2D Extruder Connection Board/TH Board/FPC Cable

Step 4: Install the filament buffer

Align the buffer with the screw holes and tighten 4 fixing screws (BT3x8) using an H2.0 Allen key. Reconnect the two PTFE tubes to the buffer.

Step 5: Install the AP board cover

Reattach the AP board cover from the side closest to the printer's back, pressing both indicated areas into place. Ensure the right side is flush with the buffer and the bottom aligns with the cable protector. Tighten one fixing screw (BT2.6x8) using an H2.0 Allen key.

Verify the Functionality

Connect the power and turn on the printer. Initiate a print job and check if it completes successfully.
